PCB Designer
Joranalogue Audio Design is looking for ongoing freelance DipTrace layout support.
This is a remote position. We're open to applicants from all around the world.
What you'll do
- Laying out ready-to-manufacture circuit boards in DipTrace, following industry best-practices.
- Schematics are provided (gate swapping and other minor edits allowed), with custom footprint patterns attached.
- Detailed layout guidelines and examples are provided as well.
- PCBs may be either revisions (minor changes to existing designs), or new layouts. These will have predefined outlines (usually rectangular), as well as connector placements and net assignments.
- Tech level is SMT: mostly SOIC, SOT-23, 0603 analogue circuitry. Usually 4-layer, 0.25 mm trace widths.
- Pin counts vary: 500-1500 typical.
- To avoid data integrity issues, layout must be done in DipTrace (no conversion to/from other EDA tools allowed).
Deliverables and review
- You deliver fully connected and DRC-valid .dip (and .sch if edited). We take care of panelisation and manufacturing export.
- All work will be covered by NDA.
- Expect 1-2 review sessions per design.
- Opportunity for future scope broadening (schematic polish, BoM consolidation, panelisation and export).
How to apply
Send us:
- Your portfolio with prior work, showing experience with pro-grade analogue audio layout, as well as rate (hourly or per board) and estimated throughput time.
- Rate, hourly or per pincount/board
- Estimated throughput time
